Online Storage & Web-Based Software Are Permitted
According to the sfg/sfga, online storage services, online software, and web-based software are allowed for congregation use. OCLM Software operates fully within these guidelines as a web-based scheduling platform. The sfga states that “sensitive or confidential information… should never be stored online.” OCLM fully complies with this direction — our platform stores only the minimal scheduling data.
OCLM stores only the limited information necessary to schedule congregation assignments, including a participant’s name, assignment qualifications, unavailable dates, optional short scheduling notes, and optional email or mobile number for notifications. Optional notes are intentionally limited in length and users are clearly instructed not to enter confidential or sensitive information. OCLM does not provide fields for addresses, judicial matters, family relationships, medical information, financial data, shepherding records, or other sensitive congregation information.
Right to Delete All Congregation Records
OCLM Software follows Theocratic direction by ensuring that all congregation records can be deleted on short notice.
Account owners can:
- Delete entire congregation data — all congregation scheduling data can be removed at any time with a few clicks.
- Remove individual records — delete any brother's information from the system instantly.
- Permanent deletion — once deleted, your congregation data is permanently removed from the live system. Any encrypted system backups are automatically purged within the standard retention period.
